Bronwen Thomas (nee Glenister)
I am looking forward to the GG with some trepidation as I haven't run a big event such as this before. Back in 2003 Andy called me a family history "activist" as researching Glenisters has been a large part of my life for many years. Finding Ruth (0943 USA), Carol Ann (1016 Canada), and Andy (5237 UK) and Malcolm (0448 UK) turned our pursuits into a global exercise to connect as many Glenister lines together as we could. We have succeeded probably better than we ever expected but we still have a long way to go. Our Aussie Glenisters are mostly of families 2548 and 0448 but there are many more from different trees - their contributions have been a huge help over the years. However, there are still many more who have steadfastly ignored my attempts at contact! In the five years since the last GG I have been working continually on family history, not just on Glenisters but on quite a number of other lines. My latest "production" was a special book in September of my maternal grandfather, Alfred William Wilson's memoirs and manuscripts and the Wilson Family History for special presentation on the event of my Uncle Glen Wilson's 80th birthday. I have also been continually updating the Glenister family history for the 2nd Edition CD which will be available for the GG. I am hoping many of you will attend the GG and I am looking forward to meeting you all. I have corresponded with so many people over the years it will be great to have the opportunity to get together.
Elaine Anne Craig (nee Gray)
I am descended from Maria Glenister, family line 0548 (Bronwen's Appendix 12.2). This line originates in Lye Green, Ashley Green, Bucks. It cannot at the moment be tied in with other Glenister lines but may eventually be connected to Andy's 5327 line. I am a librarian working with Whitehorse Manningham Regional Library Corp as Genealogy Librarian. Genealogy for work and leisure, how lucky can I be! I have been married 31 years to Gregory Arthur Craig and we have two children, Gwilym and Rhiannon, who have now completed university studies and are just starting on the next phase of their lives.
Audrey Morwick
I am descended from the 13th Child of John Putnam and Jane Glenister. My grandmother, Amy Morwick, wrote of her memories of family and friends, in a school exercise book, at the urging of her daughter Peg (Amy Elizabeth Louise BAXTER). Excerpts of Amy's Memoirs were printed as Appendix 2 of Bronwen's book "A Long Time Coming: A Glenister Family History. They make a great read of their lives and of the times. Amy had a wonderful memory of family stories. I will exhibit "GRANDMA'S MEMORIES" and photographs of the people mentioned in it.
